Before I took over, per the norm, host Chef Stuarto brought me on air to discuss the coming show. He asked if there was a highlight track I wanted to talk about. The discussion centered around the first track I would play that evening – Jacco Gardner’s “The Ballad of Little Jane”, which I likened to a modern rendition of The Beatles’ later-era.
You can read more about my thoughts by clicking the link below.
But really, one of the most notable, poignant tracks of the playlist is the new one by Youth Lagoon. I have dwelled on “Dropla” endlessly since writing about it over the weekend (again, click the corresponding link below to read it). It truly sums up so many things I’ve been struggling with over the past six months or so.
What it comes down to is not only ensuring that I enjoy every moment of my life, but also that I cherish the moments with those I love. One day they too will perish, and as much as I do not want to admit the fact, I know it to be true. My parents stopped by over the weekend and before they left, they helped me build my first 2 meter antenna. Photo proof above.
