The Babies was an indie rock band fronted by Kevin Morby and Cassie Ramone, releasing records and singles as a quartet between 2010 and 2012. “All Things Come to Pass” backed with “Caroline” is one of 2 singles The Babies released in 2010.Read More »The Babies | All Things Come to Pass b/w Caroline | 7″ Single Review
The Babies were a short-lived, 4-piece indie folk-centric garage rock band. They released two studio LPs and a number of singles between 2010 and 2012, including Our House on the Hill which found its way onto Woodsist Records.
The band included four members: Kevin Morby (Woods), Cassie Ramone (Vivian Girls), Justin Sullivan, and Brian Schleyer. Schleyer ultimately replaced original bassist Nathanial Stark, aka Crazy Nate, in late 2011 or early 2012.
The Babies were active until about 2014, when Cassie Ramone announced they would no longer create music due to her and Morby focusing their efforts on their respective solo careers.
Below, you’ll find a variety of album reviews, song reviews, features, lists, and more that include The Babies.

It’s summer here in Skagit, and that means the Farmer’s Market is back, it’s time for summer house projects, the Seattle to Portland bike ride is coming up, and the days are, quite frankly, way too long. Especially during the month of July.Read More »KSVR Radio Show: From a Garage on a Hot Summer Day
Finally, I present to you my top 10 records of 2012. Once again, we begin with a pair of honorary mentions — the recent single that’s leading into my most anticipated album of 2013, and an album I know would have made the top 50 had I checked it out in advance of compiling and publishing the first half of this list.Read More »The Best LPs of 2012 Countdown: 10 to 1
A long night, but no matter. I learned long ago that spending a bit extra time doing something you love… well, it’s a good thing! Stuarto sent along a text asking if I could pick up his 8pm show and I obliged. Being a mere few hours from show time, I just threw together an array of vinyl to mix in and ended up timing it almost perfectly.Read More »Fense’s Radio Show: December 7, 2012
Last week I returned to the present with only a few throwbacks to the 90s toward the end of the show. The split digital/vinyl show featured new tracks from Sleeping Bag, The Babies, Sweater Girls, Gospel Claws, Suturee and Thunder Power. We also featured a few favorites since the year 2000 with tracks by The Anniversary, Tvärvägen and The Scotland Yard Gospel Choir.Read More »Fense’s Radio Show: November 9, 2012
If you aren’t familiar with The Babies, let me give you a far-too-brief backstory. The Babies began as Cassie Ramone (Vivian Girls), Kevin Morby (Woods) and Justin Sullivan (Bossy). They’ve since added a fourth and will be releasing their sophomore LP, Our House On The Hill, November 13 on Woodsist Records.Read More »The Babies: Feature
