The Babies

The Babies

The Babies were a short-lived, 4-piece indie folk-centric garage rock band. They released two studio LPs and a number of singles between 2010 and 2012, including Our House on the Hill which found its way onto Woodsist Records.

The band included four members: Kevin Morby (Woods), Cassie Ramone (Vivian Girls), Justin Sullivan, and Brian Schleyer. Schleyer ultimately replaced original bassist Nathanial Stark, aka Crazy Nate, in late 2011 or early 2012.

The Babies were active until about 2014, when Cassie Ramone announced they would no longer create music due to her and Morby focusing their efforts on their respective solo careers.

Below, you’ll find a variety of album reviews, song reviews, features, lists, and more that include The Babies.

Light at 4am, light until 10pm; it makes for some early mornings and late (yeah, I’m getting old) evenings. Summer also means less time for FensePost, so bear with me/the site. Especially during the month of July.

The split digital/vinyl show featured new tracks from Sleeping Bag, The Babies, Sweater Girls, Gospel Claws, Suturee and Thunder Power. We also featured a few favorites since the year 2000 with tracks by The Anniversary, Tvärvägen and The Scotland Yard Gospel Choir.
