Alright, latest obsession: Jib Kidder. It’s a no-brainer, hearing that the band’s new release will be split between Burger Records and Gnar Tapes and Shit was no surprise. Jib Kidder fits right in on both accounts. Par the course, Jib Kidder’s video for “New Crimes”, the lead single off new LP IV, is a mish-mash of assorted clips from downloaded YouTube videos. In a bit of a strange trend, two noted models turned actresses have now gone musician. Carla Bruni and Lou Doillon have both prepared debut LPs. Doillon’s debut LP, Places, will be released via Verve on June 18. Bruni’s latest, Little French Songs, is her fourth release.
