Scott & Charlene’s Wedding: Footcray Station (Video)

Scott & Charlene's Wedding

Somewhere between Television Personalities and Fergus & Geronimo, but with an introspective self-deprecating edge is Australian songwriter Craig Dermody, who records mopey but joyful sounding indie pop tunes under the moniker Scott & Charlene’s Wedding. With a hint of jangle in the guitar and a vocal delivery that barely give Dermody a chance to breathe, “Footcray Station” is perfect for the frowny-faced, droopy-shouldered, long and unkempt haired slacker. Pure Bathing Culture: Ivory Coast (Video)

Pure Bathing Culture

I have no clue what’s going on. Seriously. A blue thing she treats like a baby. Her man has something evil hidden inside that comes out on occasion. She’s all emotional. There are hologram sharks. I’m sorry, but it’s all beyond me. Yes, I’m talking about the new video for “Ivory Coast” by Portland duo Pure Bathing Culture. The latest to grace our ears is “Mtn Tune”, a track whose video features great retro-ish bicycles, rock climbing, and, as the Ian from the band notes, a concert on top of a 40-foot volcanic rock. Shout Out Out Out Out: Now That I’ve Given Up Hope, I Feel Much Better (Video)

Shout Out Out Out Out

Spanish Moss & Total Loss has been among my favorite albums of the year, and now the band behind the album, Shout Out Out Out Out, has given us a video for opening track “Now That I’ve Given Up Hope, I Feel Much Better”. Directed by Lyle Bell & aAron munson, the video features an amusing concept: people falling over in chairs. Read More »Shout Out Out Out Out: Now That I’ve Given Up Hope, I Feel Much Better (Video)
