I had Friday off and ended up spending most of the day sanding down cabinets. They came out looking great; a natural light pine distressed with a hint of dark stain peeping through. Ultimately they will get two light coats of matte brown followed by white paint and distressed lightly.

I’m in a reflective mood. Thinking back on my youth, there’s so much that, at the time, I wished I could do. Looking at my life now, I think I’m right where I want to be in terms of who I am and what I am doing with my life.

“Laura” by Western Affairs is not a song to take lightly. In the beginning, you get a cool, laid-back percussion paired with a surreal, echoing guitar. This ambient sound continues throughout the song and keep things hip and dreamy, but the vocals take things in an interesting direction.
