“The Secret Plume” is the latest video from Seattle artist Virgin Of The Birds and it features early video of some very unique dancers. In fact, we saw a similar dancer in The Robot Ate Me’s video for “On Vacation”, which was eerie and surreal. Here, however, it complements Jon Rooney’s melodies, which are often timeless.
The video, under public domain, is footage “from La Creación de la Serpentine (La Creación de la Serpentina), directed Segundo de Chomón, Pathé Frères (1909)” as stated on the Abandoned Love Records Vimeo page.
“The Secret Plume” is off Virgin Of The Birds’ EP Dear Furies, one of a few free EPs from the band available on Abandoned Love Records. Check out the video below and grab “The Queen Of Sweden” off the band’s Fugitive Works EP.
