Blonde Redhead Vague b/w Jet Stream Vinyl

Discogs Vinyl Haul: The Wailers, a Rare Blonde Redhead, & Shoegaze Deep Cuts

I spent a few days in the hospital earlier this month after some pretty intense abdominal pain. Turns out, my gallbladder has been causing me issues for years. Something I chalked up to merely bad indigestion actually could have killed me. A quick trip to the ER early one morning led to a two-day stay and surgery to have it removed. During the visit, I pulled the trigger on a vinyl order, and today I’m going to share what I got in this Discogs Vinyl Haul post.

The Top 20 Albums Turning 20 in 2023 | Part 2

Today, I’m continuing on my path of counting down the top 20 albums turning 20 in 2023. For the first ten on the list, visit Part 1 where I cover 20 to 11. Today, I’ll be focusing on the top 10. As always, this list is a roundup of my personal selections, so there’s a definite subjective nature to it, but I also tried to inject at least some objectivity into it. The Top 20 Albums Turning 20 in 2023 | Part 1

Today I’m looking back 20 years and counting down my top 20 albums of 2003. In this first part, I’ll be looking at 20 down to 11. As we reach the 20th anniversary of the albums released in 2003, it’s hard not to look back on this particular year as a crucial moment in indie rock history. For me, cemented in my Junior and Senior year of college, I dove deeper into my obsession with music and expanded my horizons even deeper into indie rock.

Amazing Vinyl Records in Terrible Condition

7 Records in Terrible Condition that Will Never Leave My Collection

If you’ve been a record collector for any notable length of time, you’ll probably have a few albums in your collection of — well — questionable quality. I’m not talking about ones that are guilty pleasures, or ones that are a little embarrassing to admit you have in your collection. (Though I’m sure those exist as well, but that’s a subject for a future list…) I’m also not talking about ones where it’s just a flat out shity pressing. The terrible condition I’m talking about: the records that are truly beat to hell.

The Pains of Being Pure at Heart Vinyl

5 Bands to Listen to if You Like The Pain of Being Pure at Heart

The Pains of Being Pure at Heart gave us their debut, self-titled LP in 2009. The band created this interesting blend of indie pop with hints of shoegaze and even emo. The songs featured on the Pains of Being Pure at Heart were romance and relationship based with a youthful edge. Their music was packed with catchy vocal hooks, fuzzed-out melodic guitar riffs, and an overall dreaminess to it.
