Whenever I receive something new from Odonis Odonis, I always have flashbacks to an early EP of theirs. It’s loud, post-punk styling is deep and thick. But the new releases always surprise me. They’re not overpowering. They’re not filled with the gloom and black death that I see in my head.
On Odonis Odonis’ new LP, Dissed And Dismissed, the band throws out songs like “Nowhere To Go†which is a bright shiny object compared to the picture I have in my mind. And that’s a good thing. It’s catchy, borderline upbeat, and draws me in. I want to hear more.
Dissed And Dismissed is Odonis Odonis’ follow-up to their debut LP Hollandaze. It will see light on April 15 courtesy Buzz Records.
