Ski Lodge: A Game (Video)

Ski Lodge

Ian Sotzing directs this American Psycho role reversal (ish) video for Ski Lodge‘s song “A Game”, off the band’s self-titled debut EP, which dropped recently on Dovecote Records. A sultry vixen plays her role well, casually murdering lead singer Andrew Marr in his sleep while simultaneously preparing breakfast.

This dark imagery contracts with the bouncy keyboard-meets-jangle guitar pop Ski Lodge creates. The band is anything but macabre; all four songs on Ski Lodge are happy and upbeat.

“A Game” by Ski Lodge joins “Weights” by Nat Baldwin, “The Dark” by Mock Suns, and “A Dark God Heart” by Sleep Party People in the top music videos of the year (thus far, of course). Watch for the follow-up to Ski Lodge’s EP in the near future — word is, they’re working on it right this moment.

Listen to “I Would Die To Be” off Ski Lodge’s self-titled EP, and watch “A Game” below. And don’t forget to head over to Dovecote for a copy of the record.
