Gosh, was it really as far back as 2007 that Get To The River Before It Runs Too Low was released? That time seems so long ago, and a lifetime of experiences have occurred since then. I recall being taken aback upon first hearing “You’re A Wolf”. It had that special power — those hook filled vocals and powerful guitar riffs were gripping then, and their strength surely hasn’t lessened a drop.

Now, to be honest, I haven’t heard much (or even thought much) about Sea Wolf in the time since that EP and their debut LP, Leaves In The River, were released in ’07. But I sure did take note when I caught wind of their sophomore album White Water White Bloom was announced. And “Stanislaus”, the single they released for public consumption, had that similar sleepy folk-pop sound, packed to the kilt with superb guitars and a catchy chorus.

Last weekend, new Seattle resident and FensePost friend Sara Montour headed out to Neumos and caught the band live. Accompanying this post are several photos documenting the performance. But first, here’s “Stanislaus” from What Water White Bloom for your enjoyment as you peruse the pictures.
