I agree that there is exuberance throughout, but it is an intelligent exuberance. Because it's pop, it suffers when you compare with other bands-- a touch of Ben Gibbard is there, but it's also got a feel of Phantom Planet, and... here's the most important part for me... while it's uptempo, there aren't throwaway lyrics.
