Blitzen Trapper: Black River Killer [Video Review]

Blitzen Trapper

Timelessness is a virtue seldom known in our dying times. But, with an artist like Blitzen Trapper trail blazing along the modified Americas, faith in the old fashioned may be reinstated. Between a storytelling folk tale suitable for every decade a man has lived, and a truly epic and well orchestrated free flowing music video with the caring spirit of a 90’s alternative band, it couldn’t get much better than this. But, what else would you expect a song that made The Notorious B.I.G. a folk star on YouTube?

As Trapper’s popularity continues to grow (to much surprise with how bland the emo saturated music world can be at times), this track and corresponding video masterpiece will surely be his legacy. It’s such a perfectly free flowing track. And the visual demonstration is a perfect representation of the immense spirit in which our hero would love to convey. It’s been years since anyone put this much effort into what is supposed to be “just another marketing tool”. And not since Christopher Walken proved that the art of dance was his weapon of choice has a music video been this entertaining and spell binding.
