I’m in bed and have been for well over an hour. It’s just past midnight and sleep isn’t coming, so I’m plugging away at my overextended email inbox. The current song on repeat is “Postcards” by An Horse, and the sound that’s blasting forth from my tiny MacBook speakers is quite reminiscent of 90s gritty alt-rock.
Their sound is heavy and filled with distortion, not at all sounding like similar duo Matt + Kim. “Postcards” seems like it could easily be your favorite track from 1996. It’s enough to take you back…
Hailing from Australian, this edgy rock duo’s latest release is Rearrange Beds. It came out this past January on their home-country’s very own Valve Records.
An Horse hits the states early next week, dives headlong into SXSW, then heads this way for some West Coast dates late this month, including Seattle on March 27 at our premier all-ages venue, The Vera Project. Check below for the full range of dates.
