Canadian Invasion: Three Cheers For The Invisible Hand [Video]

Canadian Invasion

Written by Fense

My god man! Did someone declare 2008 the year of the lovable pop gem yet? If not, I may just have to do it because this year has seen so many great bands release so many great tunes, and the latest to succumb to the awesome curse is Canadian Invasion with their song “Three Cheers For The Invisible Hand”. It joins the ranks of Pomegranates, Fredrik, Grand Archives, The New Year and many, many more than I’m sure I’ll kick myself later for forgeting — all these bands have dished out great pop songs this year.

Canadian Invasion’s music is poppy and clean and fun. And the video for “Three Cheers For The Invisible Hand” is animated like many others from the year. One item that makes Canadian Invasion such a fun band is vocalist Andy Canadian’s ability to tell stories through his lyrics. He does so in a very Tali White (The Lucksmiths) sort of way, but without the Australian accent; no, these guys, despite their name, are fully American.

Check out the video below and mark your calendars for February 2009 (yeah, so maybe next year will be the year of the amazing pop gem). That’s when Three Cheers For The Invisible Hand, Canadian Invasion’s third release, hits stores.
