“Need For Sunshine” is a wonderfully electro-poppy song by Autamata that fits someplace between the instrumentation of Beulah and the lyrics of The Polyphonic Spree. The video is an animated play on light versus dark in the manner of Tim Burton.

The video begins in darkness, when one character climbs to a cloud in search of his love. But that love is nowhere to be found. As the cloud floats up, light appears as the character ends up in what one takes to be heaven. He finds her there.

A picnic ensues. They sit on a rainbow and enjoy the view. And together they watch the sun set back into darkness. It’s not your typical love story, but it’s fun and creative.
