Goldcure (MySpace) has the sound of Brit Daniels’ Spoon, both in voice and in backing instrumentation. Thus it should be no surprise that the band hails from Spoon’s hometown of Austin, TX. However, Goldcure injects a bit more country into the veins of their songs, from the title track of their upcoming Portugese Prince to the ballad-esque closer “Beautiful Disaster”.

My FensePost inbox is out of control. Recently, it topped 500 messages, most of which I had yet to read. Nevertheless, this documentary has a hard time getting out of the shadows of Control.

Do not let your eyes deceive you. This is not the first FensePost… er… post. FensePost has simply been updated to reflect the changing times. We needed a major overhaul and switching content management systems led to such an overhaul.
In fact, FensePost originally launched in June of 2006 and the old version of FensePost will remain intact due to countless link-backs to specific URLs on FensePost.com from other blogs, bands we’ve covered, and labels we’ve mentioned.
